Within the city (including the airport)
Avoid
Random taxi drivers outside the airport and around the city — even when they wear Grab jackets and helmets, some may be scammers.
Always order Grab or another local app such as Xanh SM, Maxim or InDrive. The airport has a Grab station a few metres outside the exit; pricing to My An, where most nomads stay, is usually around $5.
Long-distance trips
- Avoid Grab for long distances: $15–50 per trip.
- Local taxi companies: $1–6 per trip depending on the car and number of passengers.
- InDrive also works well for long distance (Da Nang – Hoi An / Ba Na Hills / Hue).
- Typical saving
- $14–44 per trip
- Time saved
- 5–10 min per ride
